CEPI, the Brown Pandemic Center, and NTI, in collaboration with Foreign Policy, brought together emerging biosecurity leaders from the Global South. These rising leaders, including the Biosecurity Game Changer Fellows, engaged with top-level decision-makers to explore next steps in addressing the threats posed by deliberate, accidental, and naturally occurring biological risks. By strengthening biosecurity and biosafety, we can unlock the full potential of new technologies while minimizing risks, advancing the 100 Days Mission, and ensuring global health progress is achieved in a safe, secure, and equitable manner.

The year-long fellowship kicks off with an in-person meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which includes a policymaking workshop for the fellows and other early-to-mid-career public health champions.
We need global networks of forward-looking, innovation-minded leaders to address evolving threats to health security. It's exciting to see the first group of Game Changers and the projects they are undertaking, which reflect the need for cross-sector approaches to biosecurity and pandemic preparedness.
