Temi Ibitoye, Ph.D.
Biography
Temi is a Visiting Fellow at the Brown University Pandemic Center. Throughout her career she has actively engaged in research centered around the surveillance of two current biosecurity threats: antimicrobial resistance and COVID-19. Her research has been focused on evaluating and developing tools to comprehensively track and understand the pathogens linked to these biosecurity challenges.
Additionally, she has worked with the Global Health Security Agenda Consortium as a Science Diplomacy Fellow, investigating the role of the non-governmental sector in pandemic preparedness and disease outbreak response. She has also served as an intern at the United States Department of State, conducting a thorough analysis to identify strategic avenues for the United States to support STEM education initiatives in both rural and urban areas across the African continent.
